Today is the feast of St. Ambrose of Milan, a titanic figure of the early Church, massively influential, endlessly intriguing. He died in 397 and is entombed in Milan, where you can visit and venerate his bones, which were recently examined and verified. HERE

This year, I would point you all to one of the better books about Ambrose, written by the priest who helped to blow the whistle, as it were, on the disgraced Theodore McCarrick, formerly of the College of Cardinals and perv. I wonder how Jerome… and Ambrose and Augustine would write about him. Hmmm.
